welcome to AfriCa!

Ginnah's very first trip to the mother-land and there's alot for her to learn!

We visited a massia village while on safari & this was actaully my first experience as well with the massias. The cows are their most priced possesions and they live and breath them. Their houses are made from cow dump (shit....ooop!); can see bundle on the ground next to the hut.
They only eat cow meat, milk and blood......???ok and if you ask me, they look very healthy but skinny. I was just thinking to myself of all the pple i know trying to loose some weight.....myself included. Out of curiocity I asked if they consume any veggies......and the answer was NO!!

The bedding is from dried cow skin as well. And the whole family including the calves all sleep inside the hut as seen below. AMAZING!!

A view of the entire compound
Massia men dancing to entertain. They said they eventually use some of the money to build primary schools for the children. And the rest for live stock; COWS

This is how they make fire using two sticks. So, no need for kerosene and match. I was thinking to myself how creative this is..

The lioness watching & waiting for it's prey to come closer....

Miss Ginnah trying to pluck off the ripe pawpaw. She was amazed by how many can be on the same tree. hhehhheh. Never saw it before. It took me some time to remember that she actaully grew up in an apartment in New York City....

This was a WHOLE tilapia done Kenya style but nothing compared to grilled fish back home

And this is the damage Ginnah did to this fish....as skinny as she looks, who can believe she's a mighty eater??! You have to see to believe how much chop e fit chop:). We don't know where the food goes....
