~In troubled times we sometimes forget that love is real
the daily life becomes more like a bitter pill
and in each other instead of comfort warmth and cheer
we find instead a damp and gloomy choking chill
In us through God chooses to determine
the true extent to which our hearts are growing
and through the unexpected, the difficult, and the trying times
God tests us to see if we have grown
It is easy to be bitter, mean and cold
It is easy to close the heart and turn the back
It is easy to be insensitive and cruel
It is always so very easy to say no
But when through troubled times we can say YES!
and open our hearts wide to try our best
when we can reach deep down inside
to find the love for which we have cried
then we can rest assured God will do the rest
Life always gives us promise of a better day
and rainbow blessings of change that always comes our way
In patience we can wait for the rain to fall
and look forward to the quiet after the storm
Our love can like a beacon serve to guide us
as on the waves of turmoil lifes seas rock us
and we can be secure as one knowing when all is said and done
that love will see us through all the crisis that have come~
